Pressenotiz – Sun Ra Ausstellung in Herrsching
Am 7. und 8. Juli 2012 zeigt der Kulturverein Herrsching jeweils von 11 bis 18 Uhr im Kurparkschlösschen die Ausstellung "Sun Ra und die 'International Waitawhile Sun Ra Conventions'" anlässlich einer soeben in der Reihe 'mimas atlas' im Berliner Hybriden Verlag erschienenen gleichnamigen Dokumentation mit Texten, Dokumenten, Grafiken, Fotos und 5 CDs. Die Ausstellung vermittelt mit seltenen Exponaten aus dem weltweit umfangreichsten Sun Ra Archiv von Hartmut Geerken (Herrsching) Einblick in die kreative Welt des Musikers, Philosophen und Dichters Sun Ra, einem der wichtigsten und einflussreichsten Innovatoren der Musik des 20. Jahrhunderts. Hartmut Geerken wird, zusammen mit dem Verleger des Hybriden Verlags, Hartmut Andryczuk, während der Öffnungszeiten ganztägig anwesend sein. Geplant sind Musikvorführungen, auch live auf Sun Ra's Sonnenharfe, Filme, Rezitationen, Lesungen, Gespräche... Der Eintritt ist frei.
